about

This piece was inspired by myths of magical forests where the trees can speak, and imagining what they would say about deforestation, the impact of it on the animals that directly need them to survive such as orangutans and the whole ecosystem and cycle that relies on them indirectly. It is based on a warning round that slowly builds and breaks down into a chaotic and more stern warning, reflecting the breaking down of ecosystems, with further cacophonous voices and noises from the trees coming in to join in pleading with the listener.
