about

This song is for Angraecum Astroarche, a type of orchid from Sao Tomé and Principe, presumed extinct in 2018. Its existence was
recorded only once in scientific record in 1887 by Henry Nicholas Ridley. This apparently unique sighting inspired me, along with its name - astro means star. When we see stars from Earth, they are often already dead. While we presume this species extinct now, maybe it's because we didn't pay enough attention?
