about

I chose the Orange Upperwing as a representation of the decline of insect life in the UK (and the world in general). It's a moth that is fairly recently extinct in the UK, due to habitat loss and the monoculture of modern farming. I also wanted it to represent the less glamorous (but just as tragic) side to species threatened by extinction.
